Langtang Gosaikunda Helambu Trek is a two-week trek through Langtang, sacred Gosaikunda Lake, and Helambu. Traverse lush rhododendron and oak forests, explore Hyolmo villages of Helambu, and cross ravines, and suspension bridges.
Langtang Gosaikunda Helambu Trek follows a beautiful trail to the north of Kathmandu valley. Walk through diverse landscape ranging from subtropical forest to alpine zone, while admiring spectacular views of Manaslu Range, Ganesh Himal and Langtang Lirung.
Explore Tamang villages, climb Tserko Ri, and cross the Laurebina Pass. Gosaikunda at 4,460m is the significant highlight of the trek. You will trek to Gosaikunda and pay reverence to Lord Shiva.

Langtang Gosaikunda Helambu Trek Route
You will leave Kathmandu for Syabrubesi. On the 2nd day of the trek, you will head to Lama Hotel and continue to Mundu and Kyangjin Gompa. The trail pass through a gradual ascent and descent through oak and rhododendron forests.
The 5th day of Langtang Gosaikunda Helambu Trek is acclimatization day. Explore Tserko Ri on this day.
Continue the trail to Thulo Syabru and Sing Gompa. En-route, you will come across prayer wheels, chortens, and sacred mounds of rocks.
On the 9th day, you will trek to Gosaikunda Lake. At 4,460m, Gosaikunda Lake is one of the important pilgrimage sites in Nepal. From Gosaikunda, you will head towards Gopte via Lauribina pass.
The trail to Langtang Helambu goes past Melamchigaon, Tarkeghyang and Sermanthang. The trek ends at Melamchi Pul Bazaar from where you drive back to Kathmandu.
Langtang Gosaikunda Helambu Trek Difficulty
Langtang Gosaikunda Helambu Trek is classified as a moderate to difficult trek suitable for all age groups. Anyone without trekking experience can embark on this trek.
Minimum trekking time is 4 hours. On a challenging day, you must trek for 6-7 hours. The highest elevation of the trek is 4,610m at Lauribina Pass.
